Crickhowell Walking Festival
January 25, 2012
If you’re looking for an excuse to get out somewhere new as the weather improves then this years Crickhowell Walking Festival could be just the ticket. Taking place over nine days in early March it features numerous guided walks of all levels led by experienced local guides.
No matter whether you want to explore the heights of the Black Mountains or stick to the lower level paths, there’s a walk for everyone as well as talks covering map reading and navigation as well as lectures on local history which tie in to some of the walks.
And if that’s not enough to tire you out there’s also live music in the evenings in several of the excellent local pubs.
The Crickhowell Walking Festival takes place in and around the historic market town of Crickhowell at the eastern end of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. It’s located between the stunningly beautiful Black Mountains and the valley of the River Usk.
You can find further details including a full schedule of walks on the Crickhowell Walking Festival website.
